Well, Tampa does offer some solid options for a good date night. You’ve got plenty of restaurants, rooftop bars with killer views, and beautiful spots like the Riverwalk and Bayshore Boulevard to walk and talk. It’s got casual meetup spots too, plus a ton of run clubs where you can meet people while getting in shape.
Looking for love all over Tampa
So how did WalletHub come up with this ranking?
They analyzed more than 180 U.S. cities across 35 key dating indicators. They looked at everything from how many people are single, to online dating opportunities, and even the cost of a two-person meal.
Here’s where Tampa stands in the rankings (with 1 being the best and 91 being average):

- Share of singles: 59th
- Online dating opportunities: 55th
- Mobile dating opportunities: 43rd
- Restaurants per capita: 13th
- Singles gender balance: 45th
- Movie costs: 57th
- Unemployment rate: 79th
