Tampa Bay Bucs announce inaugural “She is Football” weekend

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are launching their inaugural She is Football Weekend on March 7-8, 2025. This two-day event celebrates women’s leadership and encourages young girls to stay in sports. Presented by Jabil, a major employer in the region, the weekend will feature a variety of events designed to inspire, empower, and mentor women.

The She is Football Women’s Summit at Raymond James Stadium will kick off the weekend. The summit will bring together female leaders from various industries, offering career development sessions and mentorship opportunities for women at all stages of their careers. Attendees can look forward to intimate discussions and breakout sessions led by influential leaders, with more details on mentors to be released soon.

She is Football 5K Run in Tampa

On Saturday, March 8, International Women’s Day, participants can join the She is Football 5K Run, Walk & Stroll at the AdventHealth Training Center. The event is open to runners of all levels, with funds benefiting initiatives to keep young girls involved in sports. In addition, the She is Football Market will showcase women-owned businesses, and girls can take tours of the training center to learn about career opportunities in professional sports.

Florida’s top high school teams will compete in the She is Football Girls Flag Football Tournament over the weekend. Eight teams from across the state will face off in a showcase of talent and athleticism, highlighting the growing popularity of girls’ flag football.

Inspiring a new generation of female leaders

“We believe in the connection between sports and leadership,” said Buccaneers Owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz. “She is Football Weekend will inspire the next generation of female leaders both on and off the field.”
