Shake Shack’s first Tampa Bay drive-thru opens this week

by Andrew Harlan

Blogger’s note: A previous version of this story stated that this is Florida’s first Shake Shack drive-through. The article is updated to reflect that this is just the first Shake Shack in Tampa Bay.

Florida’s first drive-thru Shake Shack opens on December 20 in Wesley Chapel at 25600 Sierra Center Blvd. I’m ready to cruise through and grab some crispy crinkle-cut fries and that tantalizing mushroom burger.

Tampa Bay Business Journal first reported the news, and it quickly spread far and wide among Pasco County neighborhood groups.

The new Wesley Chapel Shake Shack joins two others in the Tampa area: one at the International Plaza and another in Midtown Tampa

A quicker Shake Shack experience in Tampa Bay

According to its Google listing, the Wesley Chapel location will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

The first guests to arrive at the location can expect to receive some Shake Shack swag. This location will also donate $1 for every sandwich sold to Feeding Tampa Bay on opening day.

Its drive-thru will be two lanes to expedite the order and pick-up process. The location also offers indoor seating.
